Taking a new consumer product to market, from brand assets to a partner-pitch app
- Go-to-Market Launch
- Brand Assets
- Ecommerce and Ordering
- Sales Enablement
- FMCG

A new sugar brand entering the market needed brand assets, a website, an ordering system and a way to pitch to retail partners, all in time to launch.
The client was launching a new sugar product into a crowded category. The brand and product designers had done substantial work and the company had invested heavily in design and promotion, but a launch needs more than a good-looking product. It needs a place to find it, a way to order it, and a way to win stores. The founders had been pitching in person, store by store.
Objectives
- Turn the brand and product design into usable digital brand assets
- Launch a website that presents the product and supports ordering
- Set up an order placement system so stores could buy
- Equip the team to pitch to retail partners more effectively and at scale
Outcomes
- The brand launched with a website and consistent digital brand assets
- Order placement systems allowed stores to buy and reorder
- The product was distributed to additional stores
- A purpose-built app gave the team a stronger tool for pitching to partners
The opportunity
The product design investment had already been made; the opportunity was to protect that investment by connecting it to sales. A launch that relies on in-person pitching alone is slow and hard to repeat. The opportunity was to build the commercial tools that would let the brand reach more stores faster and with a consistent message.
Approach
We worked alongside the brand and product designers so the digital experience matched the physical brand. We built the website and the ordering system together, so that a buyer who saw the brand could also place an order. Finally, we built a pitch app, a tool the team could take into partner meetings that presented the product and brand more professionally than a static document.
Overview of the solution
- Design collaboration: working with the brand and product designers to keep the brand consistent
- Brand and digital assets: creating the assets the website and sales materials needed
- Website: a launch site presenting the product and brand
- Order placement system: a way for stores to order and reorder
- Partner pitch app: an app the team could use to present to retail partners
Technology highlights
- Brand-consistent website and asset system
- Order placement and management
- Custom pitch application
Impact
The brand moved from pitching door to door to having the infrastructure to sell. It reached additional stores and gained a pitch tool that strengthened its conversations with partners.
